WORSHIP
“The music portion of our services offers a mix of contemporary and traditional songs that enable multiple generations to connect with and express their love for God. We have a praise team, choir, and special performances that include solos, instrumentals (from guitars to flutes), and Christmas/Easter cantatas. ‘Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.’ (Eph. 5:19) We also have a Children’s Moment each Sunday where kids come down to the front to feel special. They participate in an object lesson or activity that helps them learn how to become a disciple in a fun and captivating way.
Our messages are primarily delivered through an expository style, but throughout the year, we also incorporate topical styles. Expository messages are usually based on books of the Bible (such as Jonah, John, and Acts), while topical themes tend to center around relevant subjects or struggles (such as anxiety, anger, bitterness, depression, discouragement, and guilt) and have an emphasis on overcoming them. All of our messages include practical applications, helping us to become more like Christ and mature as disciples.”

LIFE GROUPS (SMALL GROUPS)
“Discover lifelong friendships by joining a Life Group. What are Life Groups? We live in a day and age where more people are disconnected from each other. This was not by God’s design. We flourish through friendships centered on Christ. Our Life Groups are designed to build meaningful relationships with others by doing life together through eating together, doing activities together, discussing scriptures together, and praying together by meeting on a weekly basis. These Life Groups are meant to be a safe place where you can be authentic and open up to one another about both the highlights and lowlights of life (we all have them). We were not meant to do life alone! But being part of a group that you know loves you and is there for you through the “thick and thin” will help you grow spiritually in ways you otherwise cannot. MISSIONS
Mark 16:15 says, “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’ Acts 1:8 states, ‘…and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.'”
Missions involve people who are sent forth from the church to people who have not heard the gospel, who have no access to a church, or who just need to hear a comforting word. There are different types of missions, and the difference between gospel-centered evangelistic mission trips and service-centered trips will affect the goals of the trip.
Skill-based trips or projects require specific roles to be filled and, therefore, require skilled workers. These types of trips can include construction (including plumbing, electrical, and more).
Care-based trips and projects do not require a specific skill to participate in, and can include humanitarian or benevolence activities such as outreach to inmates, disaster relief, orphanage outreach, food pantry work or soup kitchens, prayer-walking, and more.
All mission activities must be Christ-based/gospel-centered. It doesn’t matter what skill one has or doesn’t have; it only matters that the participant has a true desire to show Jesus to someone, whether they are in a foreign country or right next door.
Crossroads Baptist Church desires to reach out to a hurting population locally as well as outside our area. Age and ethnicity do not matter – our only goal is to go, tell, and show others the love of Jesus Christ.
